'Restaurant Impossible' Arrives in Horsham

Crews from the popular Food Network show "Restaurant Impossible" began setting up equipment Thursday morning at Edibles.

Two days. One mission: To breathe new life into Edibles Restaurant & Pub.

Crews from the Food Network's popular eatery makeover show "Restaurant Impossible" arrived Thursday morning and began readying the Horsham Road business' new look and potentially its new menu offerings.

According to a "Restaurant Impossible" representative, the episode featuring John Hurley's soon-to-be remodeled restaurant is scheduled to air on July 21 at 10 p.m. The date is subject to change, but Hurley will be notified if the air date changes, according to the rep.

Edibles will have a grand reopening Saturday night and, according to the rep, the event is already completely sold out.

According to The Food Network's Web site, "Restaurant Impossible," which is in its fifth season and features celebrity chef Robert Irvine, works to "turn the tide of a failing restaurant" with $10,000 and two days for renovations, menu updates and staff retraining.

The Edibles owner told Patch on Wednesday that the exposure from the TV show "should be good" for his business.

"They’re going to make recommendations and I’m going to heed to whatever they think is going to be good for Edibles," he said. "I haven’t made any money in four and a half years."
