Horsham Incumbents Victorious

Democrats fail to break the Republicans' stronghold.

 

The Horsham Township Council will remain 5-0 Republican-controlled.

Incumbents Gregory Nesbitt and Mark McCouch led by more than 10 percent in Tuesday's contest with Democrat newcomers Paul Gallagher and Richmond Gardner, according to unofficial election results reported by the Montgomery County Board of Elections.

In all, of 9,038 votes cast, Nesbitt was the top vote-getter with 2,769, followed by McCouch with 2,689. Gallagher and Gardner garnered 1,810 and 1,770 votes respectively.
