Hatboro YMCA Honors Board Chairman

David Dryden named 'Volunteer of the Year.'

The Hatboro Area YMCA recognized a 12-year volunteer during its recent annual meeting.

David Dryden, a native of Northeast Philadelphia and Hatboro resident since age 11, was named Hatboro Area YMCA Volunteer of the Year. John F. Flynn, CEO and President of the YMCA of Philadelphia and Vicinity acknowledged Dryden for his unwavering support and service to the Y.

Dryden, who is in his second term as board chairman for his hometown YMCA, advocates for activities and programs for teens and tweens with special needs, according to a press release from the Hatboro Y. He works closely with the Y to ensure that countless services and opportunities continue to be available for youth with special needs.

A Bank of America executive, Dryden also demonstrated commitment to the Y's Annual Campaign and helped the youth-based nonprofit raise more than $100,000 in order to provide more chances for youth, adults and families to participate in programs and services.
