Hatboro Declares Disaster Emergency
Residents are asked to call Hatboro's emergency operations center at 215-443-9100 for non-emergency issues.

Hatboro has declared a disaster emergency and has opened its Emergency Operations Center to assist residents with non-emergency matters, or those which do not require police, fire, or EMS response, according to an alert posted on Nixle.
With conditions expected to worsen - with heavy rain, flooding and high winds - as a result of Hurricane Sandy, Hatboro closed borough hall at noon on Monday, the same time its Emergency Operations Center opened. The EOC will remain open "as long as necessary," according to the alert. To reach the EOC, residents should call 215-443-9100, which is the main number for borough hall.
Motorists are cautioned to not drive around or move barricades blocking roadways and to avoid unnecessary travel.

Hi Toni,
The Emergency Operations Center takes non-emergency calls and is staffed by emergency management folks (and possibly borough staff too) who work pretty much around-the-clock to answer calls, track resident evacuations, etc.

Hey that's confusing.... Get your story straight. The EOC crew under your leadership thought it was nothing more than a party... There is more to it than just pizza & beer. The person you're speaking of had absolutly no training & did not belong there. It is now manned by pros, who are well trained & know what they are doing. They did a great job in Hatboro & had the best interest in the saftey of all & their property. Kudos to this new EOC team
