Township, Chamber of Commerce partnering to bring all of Horsham together at ‘Mardi Gras Extravaganza’
Horsham Township and the Greater Horsham Chamber of Commerce are partnering Feb. 12 to offer “Mardi Gras Extravaganza,” an evening of music, food and fun designed to bring together all those with a stake in Horsham.
“People have lived and worked in the township for years and have never met those who keep Horsham running,” said Police Chief Robert Ruxton. Ruxton and his wife, Mary Beth, are co-chairing the event, to be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Manor House at Commonwealth, 300 Tournament Drive, Horsham.
“It’s a lot easier to take care of business when you have the right contacts,” said Ruxton. “We want people to know who’s making the decisions that affect their lives and businesses.”
GHCC President Jo-Anne Zapata said one of the chamber’s roles is to help businesses – and other segments of the greater Horsham community - connect. “Mardi Gras is a great opportunity to meet business owners, corporate executives, nonprofit administrators, state, county and township officials, and community leaders,” she said. “We’re inviting everyone to ‘mingle and munch’. It will be a party no one will want to miss!”The event offers a cash bar, valet parking, zydeco music by “The Untouchables,” raffle baskets, and food with a Cajun flair.
Cost of the evening is $35. Reservations and payment may be made online at www.horshamchamberofcommerce.com, or reservations may be made by e-mail to marydare@comcast.net and checks made out to the Greater Horsham Chamber of Commerce sent to P.O.
