New Administrators Join Hatboro-Horsham School District In Time for 2012-13 School Year
The Hatboro-Horsham School District is pleased to announce the hiring of two administrators: Dr. Caroline Tisot, who will serve as the program supervisor of the Special Education and Special Services Department; and William Weghorst, who will become the next transportation director.
The Hatboro-Horsham School Board approved the appointments during its Aug. 6 meeting. Weghorst replaces the district’s current transportation director, T. Wayne Lankford, who has been with Hatboro-Horsham since February 2007. Lankford’s last day with the district is Aug. 10.
Dr. Caroline Tisot
Tisot comes to the Hatboro-Horsham School District from the Bucks County Intermediate Unit, where she served as a school psychologist. At the Intermediate Unit, Tisot conducted school neuropsychological evaluations, conducted functional behavior assessments, wrote behavior plans and observed students referred by school districts. Additionally, Tisot worked with the Growth Opportunity Center in Huntington Valley, Pa. as a psychologist and was an adjunct assistant professor at Temple University, where she taught courses relating to psychological studies.
In her new role with the district, Tisot is responsible for the gifted education and autistic support programs; outplaced, homebound and homeless student services, psychological services and other related programming.
Tisot holds a doctorate in philosophy – school psychology from Temple University, a master’s degree in educational – psychological services from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and statistics from the University of Pennsylvania.
William Weghorst
Weghorst most recently served as the Location Manager for First Student Inc — a transportation company that specializes in student busing needs for schools across North America. In that role with the transportation firm, Weghorst managed the day-to-day movement of a 92-bus operation, oversaw and directed a staff of 117 people, monitored and maintained all state required credentials for school bus drivers and monitored the profit and loss financials for ongoing contracts.
Weghorst first began working for First Student Inc. in 2004, serving as a Location Manager/Branch Manager at its Wyncote, Pa. facility, then worked as a Location Manager at its Newtown, Pa. site.
Weghorst brings a strong background in transportation technology and efficiency to his new position with Hatboro-Horsham, where he is responsible for managing the district’s transportation fleet, directing transportation staff and school bus drivers and overseeing the day-to-day operation of all bus routes.
