Gold Award Project- What’s A Park… Without Birds
I finished my Girl Scout Gold Award in my
Junior year at Hatboro-Horsham High School. The Gold Award is the highest award you can earn as a Girl Scout. To earn the award the recipient must complete an 80 hour project, mine included 94 hours. I completed my project at Cedar Hill
Road Park under advisement of Mr. Mark Hudson the Parks and Recreational Director. It included staining the three bird blinds, building and hanging new bird houses around the park and blinds, building steps that were placed within the bird blinds, and creating new “Did you know…” signs to replace the old ones which were vandalized. I hope you can visit the park and see all of the additions.
